About Us

Twin Tiers Family Forum is a volunteer-led community organization that offers networking and informational events in Corning, NY to support Christian youth and families in the Twin Tiers.

History

We began very informally in 2022 as a local gathering of leaders in the Corning, NY community to talk through some of the challenges facing Christian students and families in the post-COVID era.

Attendees at that first meeting said "let's keep doing this!" and so we did - identifying and researching topics of local interest, and then hosting an event to discuss and learn more.

We started using the name "Twin Tiers Family Forum" in 2023. We continue to be an all-volunteer organization with a mission of helping the leaders of Christian youth and families find the information, resources and relationships they need to serve the people in their care.

Mission, Vision & Values

Mission: Strengthen the community network of support for Christian youth and families in the Twin Tiers.

Vision: A community that understands and welcomes Christian youth and families at school, work and beyond.

Values:

● Respect for the dignity of the human person made in the image of God

● Respect for parents as the primary educators of their children

● Respect for the family as the basis of society

● Respect for civil and religious communities who support the family

● Respect for objective truth as the basis for peace, justice and reconciliation

● Respect for religious freedom and conscience

● Respect for civic dialogue and face-to-face conversation

Statement of Faith

Leadership and programming adhere to the following Christian beliefs:

Those stated in the Apostle’s Creed.
The natural world expresses God’s loving design, intelligible by natural reason and by the light of divine revelation.
God created the human person male and female as a reflection of Himself and ordained marriage as the foundation of the family. Sexual activity is only proper as an expression of the marital bond between a husband and wife.
